Drama on Friday Night

Friday night after we had got home, we both sat down to relax and this is normally when the dogs grab their toys and ask us to play with them. Bella was on the floor and all sudden I heard her screaming and crying. I couldn't see her so I jumped up and she was in front of Cody and she had her head facing down so I couldn't see her. She continue to scream loudly when I lifted her head up - she had a pink ball caught in her mouth. I tried to move it but it wouldn't come out, as she screamed Bo at this point is barking and running in circles around her - freaking out.

I began to freak out (normal) and Cody took over trying to be calm. I rubbed her back has Cody looked at the ball to figured. Every time Cody tried to move it she screamed. Than I went to grab something to cut the rubber ball.
When I was walking back to them she all sudden tried to pull it out on her own as she was crying and screaming but she finally pulled it out.
THANK GOD.

That toy has been thrown away.

A local Westie group contacted me through facebook. They saw one of my profile pictures of the kids. I was looking at their website and they had a huge page about children and Westies. I have hard many times that Westies and children are not recommended. Also, they don't recommend any other kind of animals in the house. For example, cats or small cage animals.

"Westies may also perceive a small child as a lower-level pack member and try to dominate or correct the child for what the Westie perceives as inappropriate pack behavior. Remember when 3 way phone calls was new and popular. You never hear about people using 3 way anymore. The other day on my way home I was talking to my brother and we wanted to ask my sister a question. So my brother went to the other line, called my sister and reconnected with me.

On the way home we all three talked together about this and that.

Today I ran 8:18 minutes a mile (with one shoe untried). This has shred off 1 minute and 3 seconds from 6 weeks ago.
When I started running back in January I was running 12+ a minute a mile.

I never thought I would get to 8 minute a mile. Hard work pays off.

I went from a common last name "Carpenter" to "Brugh" (Brew).

Monday morning in Boot Camp, they was calling our first and last name out to put us into teams. As the sgt David yelled my name out he said "Meg Bragh (bra)" -
I corrected him and yelled back "Brugh" (Brew).
He said back to me "Excuses me, what do you say?!"
My first thought that came to me was "OH S*!# I have already did enough push ups
I said "My last name is Brugh"
He said "#1 rule at boot-camp is that I am always right"

Well S*!# - I guess my last name is "Bra" at Boot Camp.

No....I don't have a BLUE tooth..... I am talking about my ear piece that is connected to my cell phone.

I use mine everyday....driving in the car, cleaning my closet, scrubbing the toilet and shopping.

Last weekend I was shopping at Walmart and talking to my mother in law on my blue-tooth hands free and not thinking anything of it. As I was standing in line to check out, as we was ending our conversation and saying good bye. I was noticing a older lady (maybe mid 80s) sitting on a bench staring at me. I just didn't pay attention to her and continue to wait to check out.

Before I knew it she approached me asking "Who are you talking to?" A little puzzled I just replied that I was on the phone and I turn my head so she could see my blue tooth in my ear. She said to me "Honey, I thought you was talking to yourself and I was worried about you."

Just a little bit of a generation difference. I might think twice when using my blue-tooth when I am shopping.

Boot Camp

I started a boot camp last Monday and its been real interesting. Its military style boot camp.

When I say military its - Yelling, drop give me 50 and if one person is late...everyone is screwed.

One of the girls that had took the class a few times before kept saying "Oh shit" a few times, and I turn to her and asked why do you keep saying this as we are standing in line. All sudden, we all had to drop and do 60 push ups because SOMEONE forgot their equipment.

Oh and a push up is 2 = 1. (i.e. down, up, down, up =1)

I have said "Oh Shit" many times this past week.

We carry 2 gallons of water on our back all of the time -as we run around or how many push ups we are doing or how many lunges we are doing threw a car lot. Eveywhere we run we have to repeat after them....Left Left Left Right Left.

Both knees are skin up but I enjoy getting my butt kicked at 5am three days a week. I am also still running two days a week as well.

I will let you know if I kill over after my 7 week course.

New Job offer that is.

Most of you know how hard its been working for my current company due to my boss, the status of the company and some unethical events that I don't agree with.

I had an interview with ITT Tech at their corporate office with two HR managers for an human resource assistant opening open last week. This past Tuesday I received a call with a job offer!!!

I accepted and submitted my notice to my current company yesterday.........and what a day it was.....

It started with the CEO yelling from his office - "Oh Meg, what are you doing!?!?" After a hour and half of meetings with the CEO, CFO, both supervisors, I kept my foot down.

My last day is July 29th.

FIREWORKS

Its July 17th and we still have idiots setting off fireworks all this week and all times of the night. Bo does not like fireworks and he will bark and run through the house scared.

The person that is setting them off is two houses down and they are doing them towards the damn pond.

I am so close of walking over there and tell them where to shove it. Its not easy living with a dog that is scared of fireworks. Its been a long 17 days.

Thursday morning, like most mornings I went out for my 5am run with a friend. As we run around Fishers my knee started to bug me so I told her I wanted to stop for a mintine. I went to grab my ear phone out of my ear however when I went to grab for it my nail got caught and ripped out my diamond stud earing.

So here is my friend and I with a flash light at 5:30am looking for a earing in the middle of the road.

We never found it however we did find the back of the earing.

Today I was upstairs on Cody's computer so I was under his IM talking to his mom when his aunt Hazel had sent a message. She was asking if we was ready to come over for lunch and how we had alot to eat and ect. I asked her if Wally (Cody's Uncle) was excited about the big fest and the next message I got back was .....

This is wally - I respond back and said oh, well this isn't Cody this is Meg.

There goes to show that there was two people using two other people's screen names and we both thought we was talking to someone else. Go figure.

Bo and Bella found where the rotten vegetables are located. Both of them rolled in rotten zucchini . Grandma came in yelling saying "You Wont believe what you dogs did!" Bella had it all down her side and smelled so horrible. Grandma continue to say "Bo was eating it and had to rip it out of his month." The got hosed in the backyard with some soap.

When I was a little girl, I would sign my name over and over again. I would fill pages of Megan Carpenter. I practice different styles and layouts. I couldn't wait to sign my name when I became an adult.

As we are refinancing our mortgage I found myself thinking tonight....."All of the years I practice was a waste- My name is Megan Brugh now" However, I did sign my name about 50 times tonight though.

I had to grab Cody and my drivers license today for some paperwork and I looked at the horrible picture than realized I had this taken right after I got married. I was about 210+ in weight and I said I was 170lbs. :) Now, I am way below that weight and my license still has the wrong weight on it.

My husband got his drivers license renewed over a year and he put his weight less than 55lbs that he really was at the time.

Its not just females that lie about their weight - men do it too!!!

I haven't blog much because I been under alot of stress at work. I love what I do and the work that I am doing however the work environment is horrible.

I have two bosses, which they both dislike each other - alot. I been told by one boss that her work comes before the other. They both talk bad about each other and hope one or the other quits. How professional can directors be?

I started having conflicts with my primary boss in April. So bad, that I almost just left the job and went on a job hunt somewhere else. I can go on and on with the events that have happen to me. I been called rude, unprofessional and put down and interrupted daily when I try to explain an event. She basically down grades me and puts me down daily. I have found myself crying at work. Now, I am to the point where I am PISS, and a huge stress ball about to explode.

I have spoke with many of my HR friends and I have no documentation. My boss has always been verbally rude and puts me down and tells me I DO EVERYTHING WRONG. I found myself knowing more than her on some topics (payroll) but she just interrupts my thought or comment and blows me off. I have to watch what I do and when to speak to her. I mostly only speak to her when she walks out of her office and there are people are around.

I have spoke many people and shared many stories and they all think she is "Crazy".

Along with the drama with my boss(s), the company is not in good shape. I process payroll and the CFO is counting pennies every other week. They have been on credit hold with many vendors. Are behind more than 90 days on bills. No one has had a raise in 3 years and employees are VERY UNHAPPY. Because my boss is not approachable and is rude and short to most people, I found myself answering and helping employees with any questions they have. I tried to encourage them to contact her, however I feel that I have more weight on me.

I just find myself daily fighting with myself mentally of why I continue to work for this company.

So I am on the job hunt - again.

I notice recently the huge difference between Kroger and Walmart. I went to both this weekend.

Kroger - Walk through the store and someone is playing a piano
Walmart -A people greeter at the door -WELCOME TO WALMART!
Kroger - Walk right into a large section of fresh fruits and vegetables.
Walmart - Loud check outs and a weak produce department - if you could see it.
Kroger - Walk straight into the next department...deli -Someone is right there ready to help - Do you want a free sample they asked?
Walmart - Wait in line to get a gallon of milk and there is only one person working at the deli - I don't want to wait in line.
Kroger - As you look at the meat - there is always friendly customer starting a conversation
Walmart- Seriously, you didn't see me - got ran over by a shopping cart.
Kroger - Geez, my cereal is not on sale...I am not paying $5 for a box
Walmart- My cereal is on sale and I have a coupon

Bella remember what the Dr. told you two weeks ago - you must loose 1lb - DR ORDERS...

Bo Aunt Mary told me that you chewed up her white sandals. You have not chewed up anything for a few months - Boy, you better had said you are sorry and that you wont do that again. You should of been grateful that she took time to come down and watch you and your sister.

Can anyone tell me who peed on Mary's blanket? She said it wasn't much but someone had potty her blanket when she was sleeping one night. Anyone? I would guess - Bo. Bella I told you that you was to watch Bo and make sure he wasn't going to do anything stupid.

Also Bo, I heard you are barking a lot- If your sister doesn't want to play with you - don't bark at her. Find a toy to play with yourself. Also, Aunt Mary said she hasn't found to many messes, I was impress until I told her to go to your secret spot that you like to do your business......she called and said found all of your droppings. Nice try Bo.

Bella - aka the kissing queen. Have you been waking up Aunt Mary in the mornings by kissing her in the face? I know you LOVE to give kisses but Aunt Mary doesn't like being greeted every morning with them.

Mom and Dad will be home soon. Dad can't stop talking about you both -we miss you! Be good and make sure the house is clean when we get home.

Technology these days.....

Cant live with it and Can't live without it. - That would be what most would say about their cell phones, laptops, Blackberries, I pods, DVRs, and the list can go on and on.

However, Cody and I was at dinner at nice restaurant when a little girl (around 6 years old) walk to her table with her grandparents. As soon as they sat down the little girl started complaining that her I pod was not working. she had already put her ear phones in and the music wouldn't play. Has she thew her fit and tried to work the puzzle paper kids mat, I could see her grandpa irritated.

Why wouldn't that little girl want to have a normal converation and enjoy her grandparents company during dinner than to HAVE TO HAVE HER IPOD.

What has the world came too? A 6 year old girl throwing a fit about her nano is not working and her poor grandma trying to figure it out.

I set technology aside to have dinner or a conversation with my grandparents or even family matter of fact.

Even Cody and I sit every-night at the dinning room table and have dinner. No matter if its take out or something we made at home.

Convenience

How much it is convenience worth to you? Does it depend on the item or value? I notice since I been in Florida you pay a very high price for it.
We came in on Sunday and landed a couple hours after lunch, so we was ready to eat. However, we didn't see any restaurants at the airport - must been on the wrong side. So, we decided to wait until we got to the hotels check in and find something to eat. Well, we decided to eat at the hotel's restaurant. What a joke, that place charges a arm AND a leg for ...... basic foods. For example, glass of OJ - 4 dollars per glass. Service is poor so you will only have one fill -not even a refill.

Cody gets a free breakfast bar every morning, so Monday morning I got it too - how much would you think it would it cost for some fruit, oatmeal and toast - $15 dollars.

I forgot my hair brush, so Monday I swing by the gift shop - How much would you pay for a Hair brush if you didn't have anything to brush your hair with? 6 dollars- Its the worst brush I ever owned and the most expensive as well.

Ahhh CONVENIENCE....right? :)

Ahhhh Vacation

Our trip here at Florida has been very relaxing. We really haven't went site seeing or what not but we have relaxed and laid by the pool and took walks around the hotel every night. Yesterday I went to the gym which was very relaxing and than head to the pool to relax and read.
However, no matter how much sunscreen I put on I am RED today. There is a chance of rain this afternoon so I will stay in and read my book and relax.

Our Hotel is in a business corporate technology park so there isn't much around to go shopping and ect. However, we walk to restaurants near by for lunch and dinner. Yesterday as we are walking by for lunch Cody said "hey look over in the bushes". I look over and there is a hut with a bed made with road signs build around a hut. A HOMELESS PERSONS HOME.

Whats worst than a crowed airplane? A crowed airplane with rude people.
We was getting ready to take off to Florida and here is two rude people -Father and son. The Father was around my dads age and the son could of been a year or two younger than me. They seemed very cocky and didn't care about the people around them.
They was assigned to seats in front of us. However, they decided they wanted to take up the whole row and have extra room. A man came up to them and said "I think you are in my seat" to the father (the father was sitting next to the window). The father said well there is more empty seats over there. He pointed across the row to a lady that was sitting alone. The lady spoke up and said there might be other people assigned to this seat. As they are talking about the seat arrangements, the man without a seat is blocking the aisle way and no one else can get on the plane to find their seats.
The father got rude and jumped up and said fine I will let you seat here but if no one seats in them seats than can you move over there? IT'S HIS SEAT. Cody and I got a front row of this show and was very unbelievable. The father told his son to move in the middle seat and he took the aisle seat.
Well shortly later, the empty seats that the father was trying to give away was filled by a couple.
You could tell the father was mad about it.
If you fly an airline that has assigned seat and you don't want to sit next to another person....buy two seats!
Why push someone out of their seat that they paid for?

Also, the son Blair-ed his head phones during the whole ride and each of them had 2 large bags each. Taking a advantage of the policies.

I ran another half marathon today and went very well - 2 hours and 18 minutes. That makes two half marathons in two weeks. I think its time to take a break for a while and rest.

Dear Clothes,
I am sorry to do this to you but some I have bought and found that you no longer fit me anymore. Others, I am sorry I never got a chance to wear you and than some I have wore for so long...5 years+ - its time that we depart from each other.

This weekend I set a goal to REALLY go through all of my clothes since the seasons are changing and I am about to leave on vacation.
I have spent so far 4 hours going through two dressers and half of my walk in closet. I still got a couple more hours to go but I need a break. At least I am trying on everything but the hardest thing is convening myself to LET IT GO - even though I haven't wore it for over a year....

You never know when you need that one shirt for that one time for that one event.

Big Boy

Bo has grown a lot in one year that we have had him. We now have been testing the waters and allowing him be out during the day when we are at work. However, he has other plans. Gose right back to his bed/cage.
Cody said he was going to let him be out for the day but when Bo seen that Cody was about to leave for work he went up stairs and walked right into his bed and laid down. So Cody just lock the door and walked away. Bo has done this two days in a row so we have let him do what he wants - Locked up all day.

Its funny how Bella hated being in a cage and Bo likes it and prefers to lay in there on his own.

I love coupons and I even get the Sunday paper just for them! I have saved from $70 dollars at one shopping trip. Last week, I saved only $30. I only clip what we will use or want to try.

However, my husband has other thoughts about my coupons. He hates them. Because it takes TIME- clip them, organized my shopping list, stack them in order of the store aisles and the worst- giving them to the cashier and waiting for him/her to scan every single one.

So, the reason for my blog- To complain about him THROWING MY COUPONS AWAY. I have spent now two weeks in a row, having my head and half my body in the tall recycling trash can trying to dig out my coupons. Not even the regurlar coupons but $10 coupon off at JCPennys and another one from Kohl s.

Note to Husband - STOP THROWING OUT MY COUPONS!!!!!

What a WONDERFUL Surprise

I signed up for Shape magazine around the Holidays for myself. After a few months they began to come in, however I kept recieving another magazing as well- Woman's Day. Like most of you know, if you sign up for one magazine you get offers for others and I thought I might of accidentally signed up for this. I even told Cody I should be getting a bill for the Woman's Day sometime.
I am even embarrssed to say I haven't had much time in the last 3 months to even read eaither of them. I just keep staking them next to my bed and one of these days I will find time to read them.

I was talking to my grandma "at the farm" and we was chatting away a few weeks ago and all sudden she said "Oh I keep forgetting to ask you if you get your magazine in the mail?" I was a little puzzled. She had signed me up for Woman's Day around Christmas. I looked over in my room of a large stack of magazines and said "Yeah but haven't had time to read them yet"

There is no place like home

Where is home? That is not a easy answer. The home my husband and I share is in Noblesville. However, my home town in my heart is the Columbus, Indiana and Brown County area. To make this even more confusing, I graduated from an high school in Greensburg, Indiana.

The reason for this topic to be brought up is the latest trip that we made to Brown country last weekend. It remind me of the peace of life, the non hussal bustle of the city/suburb life. The clam it brought to me. The laid back eniverment I found when I was a kid. It was wonderful!

However, is this because I currently have stress in my life and this brought a quick fix to my issues? It brought more peace to my life at the time I need it the most? Is it because my grandparents are near and its always a joy to be in their presents? Sometimes, bring you back to your roots makes you realized whats more important in life.

Don't get me wrong I always said I would move to the city for bigger and better things. I enjoy getting into my car and going to the store/mall just minutes away.

I just saying - I felt a bit home sick when I got home.

I could eat cereal for all three meals than some. We actually go through a lot of boxes at our home. So, the last time I was at Kroger I went to grab my favorite cereal like always and it was $5.15 a box!!! Who would pay $5.15 for a box of cereal? Has the economy bounce back and I didn't know it?

As I am about to leave to Walmart, I notice I cant find my blue-tooth. Actually, I don't remember when I used it...sometime this past week. So, we go on the hunt - dumped my purse - very scary but I found a pair of earnings I been looking for. Than we went upstairs...still nothing.
The big hunt- the cars.
Cody took the Pilot and I took the car -Oh the things we found!. Cody has been missing one of his phone chargers, and actually bought a replacement last night - Found it. Than I showed him two other car chargers in the car - He said "gosh, I been looking for them too" - Found it. Than last weekend we was looking for our IPod adapter cord to plug into the pilot - Found it in the car. Than I was leading over into the backseat from the front seat and found a lip gloss I been looking for months!!!

So after finding everything in the cars, still no blue-tooth. Cody thought he would look one more place- The oversize chair (that I sit in everyday) - He found it broken! So all of that work to find out I need a new one.

This last Wednesday I ran 12 miles for the first time. I started off my day by being so busy at work I never thought about running that night. Until I got the gym and showed up 30 minutes before the run. Than I relized that I had a long night ahead of me and it was going to be a rewarding run if I could complete it.
Like always we started going in the same direction and started the run, I never even thought of the sun and how hot it was that day. When I got onto my 5th mile I could feel the sun beating down on me and I was slowly loosing one of my friends that I started the run with. When I looked back I could not find her anywhere. I continue to run but I found myself getting dehydrated. However, when you are in a middle of a run and the only thing you want to do is get back to your car....the only way you are going to get their quick is....RUN RUN RUN!
After running a little over another 2 miles I saw the friend I had lost...she was getting sick along the road. I stopped to ask if she was fine than kept on running.
As I continue to run, I came up to two girls that decided to stop running and walk. As I caught up to them I continue to run towards the next water spot. I felt so dehydrated when I finally arrived to the water spot, I could not open the water bottle - I had to ask some random person to help me. After finishing running my last 3 miles and got back to the YMCA I couldn't even move or walk straight.
I made it through the whole 12 mile run. I felt for the amount and the heat really made it hard. I know 1/4th of my group had got sick and half them had to walk during the walk. However, everyone made it and this makes us all ready for the big run on May 8th!!

I was having a hard day at work. I went over and beyond to help a employee than got in trouble for helping them and my boss said she should of took care of the issue. I didn't do anything wrong, but she was upset for some reason.

I sent Cody a email and asked if he wanted to meet for lunch. We decided to meet at our local Chinese restaurant. At the end of our meal, Cody grab his fortune cookie (which, he never opens/eat them) and his fortune said "The love of your life is right in front of you" - Which is very much true. Than I decided to open my fortune and it said
"Go over and beyond and it will pay off in the end" - today it bit me in the ass for going over and beyond.

One year ago I started my life style change which consist of eating right/better and being more active. After being REALISTIC and having what I want but not all at once and remembering my daily intake of food is like a bank account I have lost a total of 47lbs.

My goal is to loose 65 lbs total but trianing for a mini marthaon has put this goal kind of on hold. I can't loose weight if I am gaining muscle. So in my last 18lbs I will work hard and change up some of my exercises and eating to make the goal after the mini.

Anything is possible if you put your mind to it.

Last Friday I meet my husband for lunch. As we departed to our cars after lunch, I got into the car and I couldn't turn the key. I figured it was because the wheel was turned, so I pulled on the wheel and lean on it to try to turn the key - it wouldn't turn. I panic and hurried up and called Cody as I seen him pulling out of his parking spot. After explaining my issue he came over and parked right in front of the car and hopped out of the Pilot.
He switch me spots and he couldn't get the key to turn either. He asked what did I do the car? I notice he was blocking people with the pilot, so I went to move it as I am getting into the pilot - he yelled for me to come back. He started up the car and said he got it. I asked him what was the issue?

You was using the Pilot key not the Accord key.
He just walked away shacking his head, he couldn't say a word.

I always know how to keep life entertaining.

As my husband is sitting there with a friend he said he meet some interesting people.

Picture this at a roulette table on a Friday night at a local casino

One man still had his work uniform on and had talked about how he left right after work straight to the casino, he asked Cody "Hey do you have the time, I am suppose to pick up a Papa's Murphy pizza and bring it home to dinner to my family" Cody told him its 11:45PM. The man said "Oh Shit, its that late already" - Poor family waiting on dinner that never came and their father had spent his paycheck at the casino for hours!!!

Second man was complaining he had child support due and had not paid it for a while and needed to win big. He said he had no job or paycheck and he will be put in jail soon if he can't make Child support. - Why is he at the casino spending his last dime hoping to make a few extra dollars?

What happen to having common senses these days?

No Pain No Game

I will be honest, I was hoping to not experience any pain during this training but I was wrong.

Last Saturday I ran 7 miles and the day after my foot started to hurt. I just stayed off of it and played it off. Monday morning no pain, so I ran the normal 4 miles. Tuesday light pain, so I went to a Physical Therapist that is working with my training program. He asked to see my shoes and this first thing that came from his month was "WOW, THESE ARE THE WORST SHOES TO RUN IN" I thought GREAT! 100 dollar plus shoes that I been running in are bad on my feet.

Long story short-He filled out a paper and said go back to the running company (where I got my shoes) and have them exchange them for another pair of shoes and he wrote down three different kinds to try. He had me try some out that night and watched me run to make sure these would help.

Wednesday night was our long run (8 miles) so I just grab a pair of old Nike's that I had. God was I wrong. My big toe has been rubbed raw and my foot was in so much pain it was shooting up my leg to my lower back. No worries- I finished/ran the whole 8 miles and went straight home and put ice on my foot.

Thursday (Today) I am in pain. I turn in my heels for tee shoes today. I barely walked away from my desk and I just kept close throughout the day. I went straight after work to the Running Company and after 3 months of training they did exchange my shoes and they was CHEAPER!! So I walked around looking for things to also purchase, since I had a credit. Did I mention I had a $10 coupon as well? So, I got a new pair of running shorts, some non rub stick and a new pair of shoes for $3.19.

When the guy said 319....I asked again how much he said 319. I said 3 hundred and 19 dollars? haha

Good Bye Jeep

Today we turn in the Jeep.

Cody told me I better write a blog about it....so here it is.

Our Jeep.... was our first car together 3 plus years ago. It didn't get damage or a window didn't get knocked out through college. It moved us from College to adult life. Than it allowed us to bring home our baby girl Bella. But most imporant the Jeep helped us move into our first new home and many...many trips to Lowe's.
We traveled from North than South, to East than to West of the whole state of Indiana.

I was doing 11 to 10 minutes a mile
than 9:50, 9:45 and this past Monday
9:30 minutes per mile and ran 4 miles total.

I never had a personal goal to run for speed I was running for distance. I think I am doing both.

So, Do you REALLY want to know whats the hardest thing so far training for the mini marathon?

Its not running endless miles...but ask me again when we get to the 10 or 12 mile marker.
Its not running in the rain, wind, snow or ice.
Its not running in the road and almost get run over.
Its not learning to listen to my body- I have learned a lot about my body and how it reacts.

Its EATING....yes eating. I been on a diet for a year now and I have train myself to eat about 1200 to 1500 calories a day. Now, that I am now running 7, 8, 9......and ect miles I NEED TO EAT MORE. Its very hard to force myself to eat.

So Bring on the bagels, muffins, pasta, bread, and mash potatoes
BRING IT ON CARBS.

Side note - If I eat more Carbs I normally loose weight, if I don't eat a lot of carbs that week I gain or don't loose any weight.

Winter Weight

Last summer I tried to run with Bella but it was dragging 20lbs behind me and it was a joke.

This year is a little different. We have been starting to take our nightly walks since its been nice and she has began to run on her own. She will start running with her short little legs and look back at me saying "Come on lets go" She is forcing us to run with her.

Her grandma did tell her yesterday....she was fat and had gain some weight. She must be trying to work off the winter weight quickly.

A Wild Hair

My husband jumps out of bed throws on some workout clothes and says "I am going to do something I haven't done in years, going on a bike ride" I look at the clock and its 8:30am. He is out the door before I can leach the dogs so they can go to the bathroom and he is down the road. We walked around to the back of the yard came back around the other side and there is Cody inside the house looking at us.

What a long bike ride he had.......at least he went on one I guess.

Trash Day!!

This past week I drag the big can at the end of the drive way (in high heels), than hopped in the Jeep to move it so I can get one of the Honda's out of the garage. Completing forgetting about the trashcan, I backed up into the can. So, I pulled up and got around it moved the Jeep on the other side of the drive way. I got in the Pilot and start to pull out to go to work and completing forgetting....
BANG!!!
I HIT THE TRASH CAN AGAIN.
So I hit the stupid can two times with two different cars in a 10mintue span.

Eating out

We have been trying to stop eating out as much during the work week. We found our selves many times just garbing something quick to eat instead of cooking after a long days of work and run. We have been doing this for a few weeks and its been hard.

The other night we had hamburger laid out ready to make dinner and Cody plead with me lets order pizza. After we talked about and talked about it, I just threw the hamburger in the skillet and started cooking it.

My husbands reply "Thank you for doing that, we need to eat at home"

10K Race

On Satruday I ran a 10K race downtown Indy. It was my first race ever and it was great knowing I could run 6.2 miles. It took me 1 hour, 6 minutes and 10 seconds. The average race time was 1 hour and 5 minutes. They had a little over 1700 runners/walkers.

I really enjoyed running with people through out the race. I even looked for places where my husband and family can park during the mini so I can have some cheering during the race.

Just think that I almost ran half of the mini race. Only 61 days left!!!

Cody came down with a head cold last week and when I went to our medicine tub half of it was expired.

Highly recommend you to check your medicine cabinet now before you get sick. I had to run to the CVS three times this past weekend to restock our tub.

I heard that the H1N1 will be hitting again soon when the weather gets warmer again. So get your shot or get your cabinet stocked.

I am now sick with something different than what Cody has...so Cody had to run to the CVS to grab more of another kind of medication.

CVS has had alot of business from us lately.

Way too Funny!!! - Got to read (Sorry its Long)

Dear Diary,

For my birthday this year, my daughter (the dear) purchased a week of
personal training at the local health club for me. Although I am still in
great shape since being a high school football cheerleader 43 years ago, I
decided it would be a good idea to go ahead and give it a try.

I called the club and made my reservations with a personal trainer named
Belinda, who identified herself as a 26-year-old aerobics instructor and
model for athletic clothing and swim wear.

My daughter seemed pleased with my enthusiasm to get started! The club
encouraged me to keep a diary to chart my progress.

MONDAY:
Started my day at 6:00 a.m. Tough to get out of bed, but found it was well
worth it when I arrived at the health club to find Belinda waiting for me.
She is something of a Greek goddess - with blond hair, dancing eyes and a
dazzling white smile.
Woo Hoo!!
Belinda gave me a tour and showed me the machines. I enjoyed watching the
skillful way in which she conducted her aerobics class after my workout
today. Very inspiring!

Belinda was encouraging as I did my sit-ups, although my gut was already
aching from holding it in the whole time she was around. This is going to
be a FANTASTIC week-!!

TUESDAY:
I drank a whole pot of coffee, but I finally made it out the door. Belinda
made me lie on my back and push a heavy iron bar into the air then she put
weights on it! My legs were a little wobbly on the treadmill, but I made
the full mile. Belinda's rewarding smile made it all worthwhile. I feel
GREAT-!! It's a whole new life for me.

WEDNESDAY:
The only way I can brush my teeth is by laying the toothbrush on the
counter and moving my mouth back and forth over it. I believe I have a
hernia in both pectorals.. Driving was OK as long as I didn't try to steer
or stop.

I parked on top of a GEO in the club parking lot. Belinda was impatient

with me, insisting that my screams bothered other
club members. Her voice is a little too perky for that early in the
morning and when she scolds, she gets this nasally whine that is VERY
annoying.

My chest hurt when I got on the treadmill, so Belinda put me on the stair
monster. Why the heck would anyone invent a machine to simulate an activity
rendered obsolete by elevators? Belinda told me it would help me get in
shape and enjoy life. She said some other crap too.

THURSDAY:
Belinda was waiting for me with her vampire-like teeth exposed as her
thin, cruel lips were pulled back in a full snarl. I couldn't help being a
half an hour late - it took me that long to tie my shoes. Belinda took me
to work out with dumbbells.

When she was not looking, I ran and hid in the restroom. She sent another
skinny witch to find me.Then, as punishment, she put me on the rowing
machine -- which I sank.

FRIDAY:
I hate that witch Belinda more than any human being has ever hated any
other human being in the history of the world. Stupid, skinny, anemic,
anorexic little cheerleader. If there was a part of my body I could move
without unbearable pain, I would beat her with it.

Belinda wanted me to work on my triceps. I don't have any triceps! And if
you don't want dents in the floor, don't hand me the stupid barbells or
anything that weighs more than a sandwich. The treadmill flung me off and I

landed on a health and nutrition teacher. Why couldn't it have been
someone softer, like the drama coach or the choir director?

SATURDAY:
Belinda left a message on my answering machine in her grating, shrilly
voice wondering why I did not show up today. Just hearing her voice made me
want to smash the machine with my planner; however, I lacked the strength
to even use the TV remote and ended up catching eleven straight hours of
the Weather Channel.

SUNDAY:
I'm having the Church van pick me up for services today so I can go and
thank GOD that this week is over. I will also pray that next year my
daughter (the little brat) will choose a gift for me that is fun -- like a
root canal or a hysterectomy. I still say if God had wanted me to bend
over, he would have sprinkled the floor with diamonds!!!
